Polaris ATV Racer, Luke Beechey

Minneapolis, MN (9/9/2008)
- In the space
of just over a month, Polaris has taken out
the Outlaw Tri-State Series, the Queensland
ATV Championships and the gruelling Australasian
Safari – and now the company can add
the Victorian Championships to the list.
Luke Beechey capped off an
incredible month for Polaris when he was again
untouchable in taking out the Victorian titles
at Ararat on the weekend. And making the victory
all the more sweeter was the fact that Polaris
Racing teammate Aaron Ovens finished clear
in second place to ensure another memorable
quinella for Polaris Racing.
After taking the holeshot
on each occasion, Beechey was a clear winner
in all five motos to easily take out the state
title on his Outlaw 450 MXR, while Ovens finished
with four seconds and a third to secure second
place.
In its first season as Australia’s
first fully-professional ATV Racing Team,
Polaris has put in a near faultless performance
to take out some of the country’s major
ATV events, including the Outlaw Tri-State
Series (Victoria, New South Wales & South
Australia), the Queensland ATV Championships
and second place at the Finke Desert Race.
“The clubs have been
putting on some really great events this year,
and we’re rapt to again be at the top
of the podium,” said Beechey.
“The Outlaw 450 MXR’s
have been simply awesome,” he said.
“You look at these machines on paper
and think they must be good, and the results
we’ve been able to achieve are really
making people stand up and take notice that
these machines are the best around.”
“We’ve got the
best machines on the market and our form has
been strong, so our
sights are firmly set on becoming national
champions in October.”
Polaris Outlaw-mounted racer
John Maragozidis also brought home success
for Polaris last week by taking out the Australasian
Safari across some of Western Australia’s
most punishing desert terrain. The introduction
of the quad class this year has added another
dimension to the 21 year history of one of
world motorsport’s most gruelling events.
Next up for the Polaris Racing
Team is the ATV Nationals in Tasmania on the
25 th and 26th of October.
