Minneapolis, MN (9/2/2008) - The
Polaris Racing Team is showing no signs of
slowing down after adding the Queensland Championship
to its burgeoning trophy cabinet on the weekend.
After taking out the Outlaw Tri-State Series
just three weeks ago, Polaris racer Luke Beechey
continued his rare vein of form by winning
both motos at the Clermont MX track to be
crowned 2008 Queensland Champion.
Despite uncharacteristically slow starts
in both motos, Beechey took only minutes to
take the lead in each race and was never headed
on his way to another
comprehensive victory.
Capping off a remarkable weekend, Beechey
also took out the grueling Ironman
event on Saturday afternoon, and backed this
up with another victory at the State of Origin
challenge on Sunday morning.
And at the other end of the country, Polaris
is also leading the Polaris-sponsored
Victorian State 8 Series. Despite some technical
difficulties at Round 6 in Blue Rock on Sunday,
Polaris is still leading the series with Aaron
Ovens currently clear in top spot.
Next up for the Polaris Racing Team will
be the Victorian titles at Ararat on the 6-7th
September.
