This round of the series headed to Straddleline ORV Park in Washington State where warm temps, trees and tight technical trails were on hand for the weekend, not to mention a challenging WORCS X section, which took a toll on many racers.
Matt Hancock was looking good off the start in the Pro-Am ATV class and moved into the lead in lap two. Hancock also recorded the fastest lap time of the Pro-am race with a time of 11:46.423 in the same lap. In the next lap, however, Hancock fell victim to the WORCS X section and fell back to third where he would stay until reaching the checkered flag.

“I got stuck in the split line twice and fell back, but I had a good race. Pro Motorsports, Maxxis Tires, Elka, Doug Roll, they have all helped me out so much and helped me to have a great race this weekend. I am really close in the points race and we still have two rounds left, so I am hoping to do well in the final two rounds,” said Hancock, who is only three points off the lead.
Hancock also did well in the Open A class on Saturday, taking a second place finish. Hancock is the current points leader in that class and is hoping to bring home the championship at the end of the season.
In Saturday’s SxS 1000 class, Matt Hancock was unstoppable. Hancock grabbed the holeshot and led from start to finish, taking the SxS 1000 win and gaining valuable championship points.
