2009 / 2010 Arena Cross Indoor ATV Racing Series - Round 1

Batesville, MS (12/21/2009) - Stop number one on the 2009-2010 Arena Cross Tour. Two time defending Champion Travis Moore was ready for the season to begin. At the first stop of the season Moore came with one intention and that was to win. “I have had very little seat time since I crashed at the Loretta Lynn’s National but I love the indoor racing” said Moore. The first heat found Moore out front as soon as the gate dropped but a miss landed jump on the last lap found Moore with a disappointing 6th place finish.

When the gate dropped in the main Moore hit the first turn with the lead in sight. Moore battled for just a few laps before taking over the lead for good. “I was hoping for a good finish tonight and after making a mistake in the heat race I had to get the win in the main. Getting the win gave me a 2nd overall for the night. Keith Parker and Clay Millican got my bike ready to go after taking that detour over a hay bale and it worked great” said Moore.

Moore has worked with long time sponsor Houser Racing getting ready to defend his Arena Cross Championship. “Jeff Houser built a new designed sub-frame.
This was the first race it was run. The new sub frame just made me feel completely connected to the bike and held up perfectly. I almost hate to tell people about it, it just works that good” said Moore.Moore’s next race will be January 9, 2010 in Memphis Tennessee
