Mount Morris, PA (5/28/2014) - Going into the third race in the AMA ATV Motocross series at High Point Raceway Vechery Racings Tyler Hamrick was sitting just outside the top ten in AMA Pro points and 5th in the Pro Am points, and was looking to turn things around.

In timed qualifying, Hamrick placed 10th giving him a solid gate pick for Moto 1; which was being livestramed on Racertv.com. Hamrick came out in 15th and made his way into 13th early and was trying to push forward until a loss of front brakes late in the moto pulled him back.

In moto 2, he was determined to get a good start and he did so coming out 6th. He held his own and finished 7th, his best ever AMA Pro moto finish and 9th overall for the weekend putting him in 10th for the series championship.

On Sunday Hamrick came out mid pack around 10th and worked his way up to 7th, and then caught himself spinning out and loosing all the spots he just passed for however the Honda 450R mounted racer was able to get back into 7th before the end of the race. In moto 2, Hamrick came out 7th and was looking to make quick passes. He battled back in forth for 5th-6th position and on lap four took over 2nd place.

Hamrick ran to the finish in 2nd to his first podium of the year for a 3rd overall. He now sits in 4th place in the Pro Am points. Hamrick is looking to keep this momentum rolling into Round 4 at Sunset Ridge in Walnut, IL and would like to give a special thanks to Vechery Racing and all of his sponsors.
