Racing's Rick Cecco wrapped up the U2 Class
Championship at GNCC Round 11 | Rick Cecco grabbed the U2 class holeshot and
held his lead for two laps, but fell back to second
in lap three. “I just wanted to ride smart.
I knew if I finished in the top three that I would
have the championship wrapped up, so I played
it safe,” said Cecco who finished his day
with a time of 01:53:14, which put him in second
in his class and gave him tenth overall. “I’m
really happy to have won my first U2 class championship.
Now that I have it wrapped up, I plan to run even
harder in the final two rounds and finish on the
                                podium,” Cecco said confidently.

                                  | Cliff
Beasley would claim a win in the 4x4 Lites
class | Michael Swift continued his winning streak in
the 4x4 Limited class and with only two rounds
left, his perfect season is in sight. “I’m
a little nervous but I’m just going to go
out there and keep doing what I’ve been
doing and win,” said Swift, who finished
with a time of 01:52:50, giving him his class
win and putting him in seventh overall. Cliff Beasley also claimed the win in the 4x4
Lites class. Cliff, who wrapped up the championship
at round ten, was lucky enough to avoid a tangle
up and get out front early. Beasley caught up
to teammate Swift and the pair rode in tandem
for most of the race, with Beasley crossing the
finish line with a time of 01:52:51, giving him
the 4x4 Lites win and put him in eighth overall
                                for the day.
Bryan Buckhannon came on strong, swapping positions
with Scott Kilby for most of the race. Buckhannon,
who is recently back from injury has been going
strong and says he is feeling good. “I went
out there and did my best. If I can take the win
at round twelve, I will have the championship
wrapped up, so I am going to go out there and
give it everything I have in Ohio,” said
a determined Buckhannon, who ended his day in
second place in the 4x4 Open class and in sixth
                                overall for the morning classes.

Bithell finished the day in 9th place after
falling victim to one of the many bottle
necks | In the Pro ranks, Chris Bithell was on a hard
charge in sixth place after the first lap. The
rain and mud that accumulated in the afternoon
classes created many bottlenecks and made passing
nearly impossible. Bithell ended up falling victim
to one of the many bottlenecks, which had him
finishing his day in ninth place. Round 12 of the 2009 GNCC series will be heading
to St. Clairsville, OH, where Power Line Park
will play host and where the Can-Am Warnert team
will again be in contention for the podium.
