Wienen Motorsports' Chad Wienen & Thomas Brown went 1-2 at Unadilla
|
When the gate dropped for moto one neither of the Wienen Motorsports riders got off to a good start coming out of the first turn towards the back of the field. Wienen and Brown were able to make quick passes, by the end of the first lap, Wienen settled into fourth and Brown was sitting in seventh still working his way up to the front field. Wienen determined to get to the front made smart passes and was able to move into the lead position just after the halfway point in the moto. Brown was able to move head four positions in sixth laps sitting in third with four laps to go. Brown was able to catch the rider in second but time ran out before he was able to make a pass and he finished out moto 1 in third.

The holeshot went a lot smoother for both Wienen and Brown both riders coming out of the first turn in the top five. By the end of the first lap, Wienen had settled into second and Brown not far behind in third. Wienen started closing in the gap between him and the rider in first each lap and by halfway through the moto, he had passed for the lead and went on to take the checkers. Brown rode in third for a majority of the race but with three laps to go he made a pass into second.
