                                - Round #2 of the GNCC Series has come to a close
and after a hard fought battle I was able to once
again stand on the podium. Heading into this round
coming off my first GNCC win I felt confident
in my abilities to repeat my performance. I spent
time in Georgia the week leading to the race and
knew that everything was ready to go. My goal
heading into the weekend was to remain calm and
work myself into contention for win number two.

I had a great jump off the line but as we
charged for the first turn a few riders collided
and spun out which caused me to lose ground.
Pushing forward and trying to make up as many
positions as possible I ended up colliding with
the fence pole in corner three; this cost me.
As I made my way to the woods I was dead last.
I put my head down, focused on one thing at
a time and began to pick riders off one at a
time. When lap one had concluded I had worked
myself into the ninth place position. I continued
from there to pick smart lines and make as many
passes as possible in the woods. I worked my
way all the way up to fourth when I pitted for
gas and goggles in lap four.

I knew if I was to make up ground and finish
in the top three I would have to make a late
race charge. I caught Adam in the motocross
section where I was able to make the pass. From
there I charged to pass Chris Bithell and set
pace with Borich. In the last couple miles there
were not many lines there to make a pass for
the win but after a hard fought race I am happy
to say I left Washington Georgia with a second
place finish which leaves me tied with Borich
                                  for the Point’s lead.
I have a great group of sponsors who stand
behind me and have had a hand in this event.
