McGuire’s run to victory in the XC2 Pro Am ATV event was textbook. He got a strong start, passed early leader and rival Landon Wolfe partway into the first lap, and then widened the gap on every lap from there to the checkers. So fast was McGuire on his YFZ50 that he expanded a narrow four-second advantage after the first lap to a remarkable 47 seconds on lap two. But McGuire was just getting warmed up, because he built up the lead further still – to exactly two minutes on lap three, to over three minutes on lap four, and finally to just over four minutes at the flag. The win moves the defending XC2 Pro Am champion up to second in points with three of 13 scheduled rounds completed.
