                                Tompkinsville, KY (10/30/2009) -After
23 years of racing the GNCC circuit, William Yokley
has decided to retire from ATV racing. Although
he will no longer be actively racing quads, Yokley
will still be heavily involved in the sport.

                                        Jarrod McClure signs
on with Yokley Racing for 2010 & will
race the Polaris Outlaw at both the GNCC
& WORCS Series | “After 23 years of racing, my body has
taken quite a beating and I really want to move
more into the business end of things. I will be
involved in a lot of R&D and network marketing
type of stuff,” said the veteran racer.
With the help of Polaris and the National Guard,
Yokley’s biggest supporter over the last
couple of years, William Yokley’s new role
in the industry will be that of the Polaris Yokley
Racing team manager. And as team manager, Yokley
has already signed on pro GNCC racer, Jarrod McClure,
as his first racer to represent him and his sponsors
on the track. “I’m really excited to have Jarrod
aboard, he is a great guy and has a lot of talent.
He wants to make a future of racing so I have
a lot of confidence in bringing him on as part
of the team. With the economy the way it is, and
so many sponsors pulling out of the sport, I feel
very fortunate to have this opportunity to fulfill
one of my goals and put a team together,”
stated Yokley. “I think next year is definitely going
to be fun. I’m really looking forward to
working with William. He seems to have a really
good program and he has the quads pretty much
figured out so all we have to do is some fine
tuning. I’ll be doing some testing at William’s
place over the off season to get things dialed
in so we can hopefully put the Polaris up on the
podium for 2010,” said McClure, who hopes
that the increased support for him next year will
allow him to be even more focused and concentrate
on training and racing instead of having to worry
about everything else involved in getting a good
program together. The Polaris Yokley Race Team will be racing the
2010 GNCC series and as many of the WORCS series
as possible. “There’s a lot of conflicting
dates between the two series’ for next season,
but we are going to try to make it to as many
WORCS rounds as we can because that brings a lot
more recognition for our sponsors and opens up
a new market for them on the west coast,”
                                Yokley stated.
Although Yokley seems to have already taken quite
well to his new team manager position, he still
plans to do a little racing. “I am planning
on racing the Polaris RZR at the GNCC in 2010.
That way we can put out sponsors on top of the
podium in that market as well,” he said.
