packed the Unadilla hillside on Sunday for
the Pro Motos | Unadilla was the hosting facility for the Can-Am
Northeastern Round of the series where rain fell
for practice day, making things a bit slick, but
dried out just in time for all of Sunday’s
racing action. The track was rocky and mostly
high speed, which had Chad Wienen a little worried
                                at first.

at Unadilla in 2006, but that hasn't kept
him from the races as he continues to
be involved with the sport, and he spent
Sunday watching the racing action with
                                        his son, Nathaniel,
track side, and his wife, Jamie, continues
to race in the Women's Pro-Am ATV Class
as well as handling the 30 second card
duties for the Pro Motos |
“It was really a motor track and whoever
had more power had an advantage, so I was a little
concerned at first, but everything worked out
                                in the end,” said Wienen.

Chad Wienen Wins for the 2nd Time this season
& 3rd straight win for Kawasaki with
Wienen now leading the Pro points (254 Pts)
with a 9 point advanatage over Honda's Joe
byrd (245 Pts) | Wienen was third off the line for the first moto
behind Suzuki’s Doug Gust and Honda/Baldwin
                                Motorsport’s Josh Upperman. Wienen played
it smart and waited for an opportunity to make
his move around Gust. Once ahead of the number
55 Suzuki, Wienen chased down Upperman and began
to apply the pressure. “I was pressuring
him and waiting for him to make a mistake and
when he did, I got by him,” Wienen explained.
After taking the lead, Wienen began to pull away
from the pack and took a comfortable win.

Doug Gust & Josh Upperman to claim
the Pro Moto One Win | In moto two, Wienen and Gust were side by side
off the start, but it was the Kawasaki that was
able to take the lead. Wienen led moto two from
start to finish to take the moto win and the overall,
which now has him in the Pro points lead.

Award with Wienen taking the inside line,

out Wienen, but by turn 2, Wienen had
the inside line & took over the lead
and held it to the checkered for a perfect
1-1 weekend | “It doesn’t really change anything
for me. I am still going to go out there and take
it one race at a time. I may have the lead, but
anything can happen,” stated Wienen in regards
                                to his points lead.
