Yamaha's
Thomas Brown makes the pass on Greg Gee
as he charges his way to a 7th overall finish,
which was his best finish since Round 3
with Gee securing a 10th Overall Finish |
Yamaha’s Thomas Brown looked strong and consistent
as he rode his way to seventh overall while Can-Am
Warnert Racing’s Cody Miller would take a
close eighth.
Can-Am Motoworks’ Jeremy Lawson came on strong
in moto two, taking a fifth place finish, after
a moto one wreck left him in the back of the pack.
Lawson’s 13-5 finished gave him ninth overall
and Canadian racer, Greg Gee rounded out the top
ten.
Kawasaki Monster Energy’s Chad Wienen was
involved in a crash at the beginning of the first
moto and was only able to complete four laps before
pulling off the track with mechanical issues.
Moto two was also not king to Wienen as he was
off to a mid pack start and was only able to work
up to 6th place before crossing the finish line,
giving him 13th overall.

Kawasaki's Chad
Wienen points lead vanished at Pleasure
Valley when a 1st turn wreck in Moto One
got even worse when Wienen charge from the
back of the back was cut short with mechanical
issues, which now has him sitting in 2nd
place & 29 points behind Dustin Wimmer
with just four motos remaining in 2009
|
Keith Little was perhaps the most unfortunate
racer of the weekend after he crashed in the LCQ
with the lead on Saturday cost him a position
in Sunday’s race.
With only two rounds left, there should be plenty
of excitement as the series heads to Red Bud in
Buchanan, MI on August 2nd where Dustin Wimmer
hopes to defend his points lead against Kawasaki’s
Chad Wienen and Honda’s Joe Byrd.
