Although Ronnie Higgerson broke his leg with two round remaining, he still has been racing with a cast, just to keep within eyesight of Rastrelli in the points. At Loretta Lynn’s Higgerson took it upon himself to cut off his own cast and race cast-free for the last and final round of the 2014 ATV Motocross Racing Series. Ronnie Higgerson fought a hard battle even with his injury, but in the end, Higgerson would finish 5-3 at Loretta Lynn’s placing him second in the Pro-Am Class.

“I can honestly say that 2014 was the best season we have ever had. At one point we had a 31 point lead with 3 rounds left but unfortunately, I got hurt and ended up racing the last two rounds with a broken leg.  I raced Red Bud with a cast on my leg and decided to cut it off at Loretta’s myself. I gave it my all but it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I just really want to thank my team, my family and friends who all helped make this a great year. Without them this wouldn’t have been possible,” said Higgerson, who plans to come back and better and stronger for 2015.
