2016 AMA ATV Motocross Round #3 - Muddy Creek Blountville, TN April 24, 2016

Root River Racing’s Noah Mickelson dominated 450 B, going 1-1 for first overall. Mickelson’s impressive ride has placed him in first place in the championship points. Second place overall in 450 B went to Cody Ford. Ford won his heat race and came in second closely behind Mickelson in the second moto.

Cody Ford finished 2nd overall in 450B & Production B, but claimed the overall win in College 16-24

Rounding out the 450 B podium in third was Root River Racing’s Tommy Vossman with 2-4 moto finishes. “I got top five starts in both motos. My starts have been killing me all season, but I got some decent ones and was able to make passes for the top three spot,” said Vossman.

In Junior 25+ Lucas Lamons rode his number 30 Suzuki to first overall, winning the heat race and second moto. Lamons is currently tied for first in the championship points. Samuel Rebori took second in each moto for second overall, and is tied with Lamons for the points lead. Media All Stars Chase Cunningham took third overall. Cunningham took fourth in moto one and then backed it up with a holeshot and third place in the second moto.

Peyton Zimmerman took home the win in Youth All Star. “In the first moto I got third or fourth out of the start, made good passes and got a clear lead. I had a couple mechanical issues and Troy Hill was catching up. I just pushed as hard as I could with the bike problems and took the win,” explained Zimmerman. In the second moto, Zimmerman holeshot and ran away win the lead.

Troy Hill had a strong ride for second. Hill finished second in each moto, and is currently leading the class points for the championship.

Dylan Mcclellan rounded out the Youth All Star podium with 3-3 moto finishes for third overall.

The ATV Motocross Championship heads Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, IN for Round 4 on May 7-8th.
