Hurricane Mills, TN (8/18/2016) - The world’s most talented amateur motocross racers made an appearance at the eleventh round of the 2016 AMA ATV Motocross National Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN. This was the last round that counted towards series points for the amateur racers leaving most national championships to be decided by these final gate drops.

Root River Racing’s Sam Rowe took home his second consecutive win in Pro Am with 2-1 moto finishes. “I came out second right behind Dylan Tremellen and made the move on the first lap right before the finish line. Then I spread the gap for a few laps and got a cushion so I put it on cruise control. I have been putting in the work and it is showing,” said Rowe.

The number nine of Parker Wewerka rode his Yamaha to second place overall in Pro Am. Wewerka led all but the first two laps of the first moto to take the win, and battled his way to fourth in moto two for second overall. Consistency has been key for Wewerka towards the end of this season, he finished second place overall in the past four consecutive rounds to finish out second place in the series points.

Root River Racing’s Dylan Tremellen went 4-3 to round out the Pro Am podium in third. . “Moto one of Pro Am I holeshot and led for a lap or two, but fell back to fourth. Second moto I pulled the start and stayed in front for three or four laps. Sam Rowe passed me, and towards the end Haedyn Mickelson passed me as well. It was all three Root River riders out front and that is how we finished,” explained Tremellen. In the series points, Tremellen finished the year with fourth place.
