Chad Wienen Clinches 5th Straight
Pro MX Championship

In moto two,
Wienen had a much better start and took second
place for second overall. Wienen thanks his whole
support crew for his great weekend finish and
2016 national championship win.

got off to a mid-pack start in Moto One,
which had him battling his way back to
a third place finish

“I have to thank all my sponsors including Yamaha.
They have been there since day one. I am happy
they could all be there, this win is for them,”
explained Wienen.

Fastest Qualifier Award at Soaring Eagle,
which tied him with Joel Hetrick for the
Championship

Jeffrey Rastrelli went 2-3 for third overall
at Soaring Eagle and third overall in the points
championship, backing up his overall in at Soaring
Eagle just one year ago. “My holeshots weren’t
the best all day, but we were able to pull through
and work through the pack. Overall it was a good
weekend, and everything was working really good.
I am happy with how it came out,” stated Rastrelli.

which secured him third overall for the
year in points

Thomas Brown put in an impressive return ride
by taking fourth overall with 5-4 moto finishes
after healing from an injury several rounds ago.
“I am glad to be back. Soaring Eagle was a great
venue and great race I was so glad I was able
to come back out here,” said Brown.

First moto Brown had some issues coming off the
line and ended up with a start pretty close to
the back. Brown put his head down and pushed himself
all the way up to fifth place. “Second moto I
had a better start about midpack, but ran into
the back of David Haagsma. Then someone ran into
the back of me and we all got locked together.
We were about 20 seconds down right off the bat,
but I worked my way back up to fourth,” explained
Brown.

Brown, but Brown rebounded to score a
4th place finish, which boosted him to
4th Overall
