Cody Miller was released by his doctor
to race at Round 2, and he secured a
11th place finish in his AMA Pro ATV
Debut on the Can-Am DS450 |
Can-Am/Warnert racer, Cody Miller was back in
action this weekend with a clean bill of health
after chest pains took the young racer out of
contention at the season opener. “I’m
feeling really good,” said Cody. Miller
who took 11th overall ran a very consistent
race in both motos, as did Dunkelburger and
Harold Goodman.
Once the checkered flag was waved, Dustin
Wimmer had an incredible 10+ second lead over
2nd place Doug Gust and 3rd place Joe Byrd.
“It feels really good to come out here
and place 1st in the first four motos of the
series,” said Dustin, in reference to
his 2nd consecutive 1-1 win. At the end of
round one, Wimmer wasn’t sure if he
would continue to run Nationals once the WPSA
series began, but now it looks as if the daunting
task of racing both series’ is becoming
more of a probability. “I have a good
streak going, so I might as well keep it up,”
he said. When asked if he thought it would
be possible to pull off a dual championship
this season, Dustin stated, “I don’t
know…I just have to ride safe and be
smart out there. I’ve been training
a little harder, but I think I’m just
more focused this year than I was before.”
Dustin is trying to keep things in perspective
and down to earth, as far as the possibility
of a dual championship goes, but he does admit
“It would be really exciting”
if he were to accomplish it.
