ATV Motocross Race Report
Continued - Amateur Classes
Virginia native, Matthew Butler would endure a hard fought
battle with Nick Denoble in the Production A class. Matthew
and Nice would finish one-two in the first moto with Nick
taking the win. Needing a win in the final to secure a
win, Butler dug deep and was able to hold off Denoble
and take the overall win. Doug Obie from Kent City, Mi
took home a third overall. Andrew Travis marked up a third
place finish in the second moto, but his first moto finish
would pull him back one position into a fourth overall
placement. Brian Ace’s consistency paid off as he
would round out the top five overall.

#36
Seth Feltner grabbed the holeshot, but was unable
to hold off #22 Matt Shapaka as he would go on
to win both Production B Motos along with the
the 4 Stroke B Class |
The Production B class proved to be another epic battle
amongst the front runners. Two Ohio natives, Matt Shapaka
and Jesse Rutherford would go toe to toe in the first
moto to take first and second place. Jesse would endure
problems in the second moto leaving an open door for
Derek Swartfager of Knox, PA to take a stab at the lead.
A production C champion last year, Shapaka made work
of the production B class on his way to another championship.
Jeremy Blackburn would make a solid run and take home
a second overall with Matthew Santijer bringing home
the third and final podium position.
The Production C class is a class reserved for new
racers and those looking to build their skills. 20 riders
filled the gate and charged towards the first turn.
A lead pack quickly developed as the top riders were
in combat for just one position, first. Jamen Davidonvich
made the trip south from Mt. Pleasant, PA and pushed
his Honda to a moto one win. A mishap in the second
moto would pull him out of contention for an overall
win. Kyle Barson took advantage and reeled in a second
moto win. Coupled with his third place finish in the
first moto, a well deserved #1 trophy was placed in
his hands. Adam Blackburn marked up two second place
finishes, good enough for a second overall. Yamaha rider,
Brandon Humphreys would mark up a 4-4 to lock down a
third overall.

Kawasaki's
KFX450R are beginning to appear in larger numbers
at the tracks with each passing weekend |
The Production limited class allows racers to compete
with stock quad with a few modifications. Dominated
by the Suzuki LTR450’s, Keil Carter brought his
new Kawasaki 450 out from Hanson, KY to show the riders
in yellow what the new machine could do. Jesse Kruszka
would walk away with the overall, winning both motos.
Keil Carter was able to put his green machine mark up
a second place finish in the second moto and a third
overall. Filling in the gap was John Forman with his
2-3 moto finishes.
