BEST IN THE DESERT Parker 250 ATV Race January 10, 2015

In the Best in the Desert Quad Expert class, the husband and wife team of Rick and Donna Ellsworth raced for the first time together in the BITD Series as a team and claimed their class win by over 4 minutes.

“We wanted to just come out here and have some fun, but when the green flag drops; it’s all on. The rain really helped and made that final lap perfect for us. I raced the BITD before back in 2005 with my brother and Donna raced back in 2012, but this was the first time we raced together and it was really a lot of fun,” said Rick Ellsworth.

The number 450 of Dean Wheeler and Justin Rogers claimed the number 2 spot in the Quad Expert class.

Paul Engen, Dustin Tanguay, and Gregory Ochoa rounded out the top three.

The next round of the 2015 BITD series for the ATV classes will be the Polaris RZR UTV World Championship Desert Classic on February 20-22 in Laughlin, NV, where reigning champs, David Scott and Danny Prather will be going for the win.
