Off Road Racing's Ben Wilson & Kenny
Green made their BITD racing debut at the
Vegas to Reno, but they didn't look like
rookies as they crossed the finish line
with an impressive fourth place finish |
“It was pretty brutal,” said Wilson. “I was the
last guy off the line, but I came here because
I wanted to race in this long, brutal race. Kenny
Green and I built the whole car and we came here
just here to have fun.”
Polaris / UTV Inc’s Johnny Angal eschewed his
regular long wheelbase RZR for a new turbocharged
Polaris he built just two weeks ago specifically
for this race. Along with Eric Ringler and Craig
Hammar II, the team finished fifth.

Polaris
/ UTV Inc.'s John Angal made the switch
the Polaris RZR Turbo at the BITD Vegas
to Reno & secured a top five finish
to maintain the UTV Pro class points lead |
“We wanted more horsepower and a faster ride,”
said Angal. “It ran great. We had some minor issues,
but overall we did a good job and got it to the
finish line. The whole day was a battle. It was
a really rough course. There was silt everywhere.
We went back in forth four or five times; we were
battling with everybody.”
Dragon Fire Racing’s Lacrecia Beurrier won the
Unlimited UTV Class finishing 100 overall in the
Polaris. In the process, she clinched the Unlimited
Championship as well with her teammates, Chris
Moore, Eric Beurrier, and Brian Thomas.

Dragon
Fire Racing’s Lacrecia Beurrier won the
Unlimited UTV Class to secure the class
championship & she was the overall top
finishing Woman BITD racer |
“We took off the line after all of the 1900 pros
so we started 48th and when I got out at mile
200 we were in the top 15,” said Lacrecia Beaurrier.
“We had a flawless first 200 miles. After that,
my co-driver hit a sand wedge in the silt and
got two flat tires. Other than that we only had
to change one belt. We knew this was an endurance
race, so we just took our time and wanted to get
our finish. This is our third time here and we’ve
never finished before, so to get the class win
is just the icing on the cake.”
The next race for the Best in the Desert Racing
Association, the Bluewater Resort Desert Challenge
Presented by Polaris, the two day race is scheduled
for October 9-11th in Parker, Arizona.
