#7 Heather Byrd claims the Women's Class
win with Paula Shank & Bailey Williams
both having issues |
Heather Byrd made the trek out to PA to get in
some seat time and have a little fun as well.
“Paula Shank and I are pretty good friends
and I decided to come out and race with her this
weekend and have some fun,” said Heather.
“I had called Joe (Byrd) and told him I
was thinking about racing and he had a bike set
up for me. I haven’t raced TT in over seven
years but it was great; I really had a lot of
fun!” she added.
Even though Heather hasn’t raced TT in
a long time, the AMA ATV Motocross Women’s
class points leader showed that she still has
what it takes to get the job done. In the heat
races, Heather took second behind good friend
Paula Shank, but in the Women’s main, Heather
got the jump on everyone and took the top spot
on the podium. Lexi Wren crossed the finish line
in 2nd and Paige Cowell took the final spot on
the podium. Andrea Creech went on to place 4th
and EDT Women’s class points leader Paula
Shank rounded out the top five.
