B Classes
#8 Casey McKibben
In the B classes Avon Park FL rider Casey Mckibben took all three National Titles as he outpowered the rest of the field on his Baldwin powered Honda. Mckibben had 15 victories on the season in all three classes combined. “It was a great year and I look forward to moving up next year” Mckibben said, “I don’t know yet, but I will either run all of the A classes or a Pro Am and a couple of the A classes, but probably all the A classes.”

In the 265 class, women’s class rider Bailey Williams was the closest rider to Mckibben as she took two victories in the series but was still 43 points behind the winner at the end of the year. Kurt Tweedy was 3rd in the final standings in his first year in the amateur classes after finishing 8th in the youth production class in 2006. Tweedy was followed by Edward Howie and Nathan Patrick rounded out the top five.

#06 Justion Lawson
In the 4-Stroke class, Justion Lawson was also a distant 2nd and was followed by Shawn Robertson finishing in the third spot. Edward Howie again was fourth and Robert Briskey was fifth. In the Production class Mckibben was followed by Nathan Wolff in the 2nd spot, while Justin Lawson, Kurt Tweedy and Shawn Robertson all finished in the top five again.


C Classes
In the C classes Marc Jacobs took the Production class, while Jason Prevatte took both the 4-Stroke and 265 classes. Jacobs took three victories in the Production class as he was also in his first year in the amateur classes and yet another racer coming out of last years youth production class. Vinnie Esposito finished 2nd , while Wade Beavers was third Brooks Williams fourth and Lexi Wren fifth. Prevatte, took four checkered flags in the 4-Stroke class and three in the 265 class on his way to two National titles.

The 265 class came down to the final race of the year with 2nd place finisher Nathan Broich needing a final round win to take the title. Broich did outlast Prevatte in the final race, but Cody Barrett took the win and Prevatte held on for the series title. Carl Amesbury followed Broich to finish 3rd for the year. Chris Blackburn finished fourth overall with only three appreances for the year but two of those were victories, while Brooks Williams rounded out the top five. In the 4-Stroke class, Vinnie Esposito again was 2nd and Craig Barnes finished 3rd ahead of Nathan Borich and Thomas Amesbury.

Age Classes
In the 16-24 age group class Garrett Jackson was a run away winner as he had the series wrapped up after round 6 in NC. Jackson won four of the first six rounds along with a third and a fourth place finish. Lonnie Eby finished 2nd behind Jackson and pro am rider Russel Mcwhoter took the third spot and won the final two races of the series to brake a tie with Nathan Wolff for the final podium spot. Peter Barry rounded out the top five. The 25 Plus class saw 5 different riders take victories on the year and 1st place finisher Walter Whitehead took rounds 3 and 5 on his way to the National title. Ken Marcou finished 2nd and Keith Jenkins took the 3rd spot for the year and were followed by Marc Noreuil and Jesse Davis.

#22 Steve Borck
In the Veteran 30+ class Gabe Ellett took the first two races of the season before running into trouble in the next three rounds opening the door for Steve Borck. Borck took victories in rounds three, five and eight to take the title. Ellett was still in the hunt going into the final round but after a slow start in the final race of the season and a third place finish he had to settle for the runner-up spot and was followed by Damon Brown, Ken Marcou, and Robert Briskey.

#141 Jeff Hilliam
In the Senior 40+ class, after winning the title in 2004, Jeff Hillian again took home the championship by winning four of the eight races on his way to the title. Johnny Deaton, who along with Hillian is from Beebe AR, and ride together to all the races, finished 2nd behind Hillian and Ken Marcou took home the 3rd position. James Hommes finshed fourth and Karl Milliron took the fifth position.

Congratulations to all the EDT 2007 Champions on a great season of racing. The 2007 year end banquet will be held in Columbus OH on October 20th were all number one plates and special awards will be given out.
