Limited (12-15) Youth ATV Class: |
|
Dustin
Adams Points Leader
|
90 Limited (12-15) looks like the top spot for
the class championship isn’t going to happen
with out a fight. Currently the lead is being
held by Dustin Adams. Dustin only has a two point
lead over Cheyanne Shadron and Kamren Bobb who
are tied. Bobb has lead the class most of the
year with some early wins, and Adams has been
in the number two spot. Shadron who is not used
to being in the chase position has had to fight
her way back after a few finishes off the podium.
After speaking with Shadron before the Penton
start, she seemed determined to get her lead back.
This will be one of the classes to watch for the
08 Year to see how it all unfolds.

Cheyanne
Shadron is currently sitting in 2nd
place after mehanic issues at Loretta
Lynn's, but she is just 2 points out
of the lead along with Kamren Bobb

Blake Chirdon earned
his first win of the year at Loretta's,
and he congratulated Josh Merritt for
his win after the checkered as these
young riders are true sportsman

90
Limited (8-11) Youth ATV Class: |
|
Competition
is tight among the Top 5 with Colton
White, Lee Smith, Allie Slate, and Cole
Setser all finishing back to back in
a 5 second window at Loretta's
|
With no racer in the top ten posting a score in
all six races the 90 Limited (8-11) class is still
well up for grabs. Cole Setser is holding the
lead in the class but with out a win for the year
he is being chased hard by Allie Slate. Allie
is only nine points behind Setser, and only three
points ahead of third. Cole Shifflett in third,
Lee Smith in fourth and Colton White in fifth
are all only one point apart from each other.
With throw-aways and the rest of the season ahead
a lot can happen on the 90 limiteds. Who will
step up to the plate and make it happen for ‘08.
70
CVT(6-11) Youth ATV Class: |
|
Zachary
Webb claimed his 1st Win of the season
at the Penton over Tyler McConnaughy,
and they are 1st & 2nd in Points
as well with Charlie Welch holding down
the 3rd spot
|
The final class of the GNCC Youth Quads is the
70 CVT(6-11) class. This one is being chased right
now by six riders. Zachary Webb is leading in
points after six but still has his work cut out.
Tyler McConnahaughey holds the second spot in
the points after previous class leader Charlie
Welch pulled a DNF in Round six. Charlie had a
terrible crash in turn two to start the Penton
but managed to get up and keep going and charging
to the front before retiring early after later
troubles. Charlie still holds third place in the
points. Junior Austed, Sadie Welch and Thomas
Owen are hot in the chase and are well with in
hunt to make a top three finish.
Now we all know this is early and speculative
at this point as we have only completed six
rounds of the season. There is a lot of hard
racing ahead and many hurdles to face before
the season wraps up in Indiana late in October.
I hope that all the racers stay safe and train
hard if a championship is what they are chasing.
Keep the grades up and help out around the house
as much as possible to make sure that racing
stays in your future. See you at the races
