the entire race, but in the final seconds
of the race, Borich made the pass, which
dropped Fowler back to a pro XC1 career
best 2nd place finish |
Yamaha/Ballance Racing’s Walker Fowler
got off to a great start after taking the holeshot
and early lead. Fowler was still leading in
the second lap but was under pressure from Chris
Borich and Adam McGill. The young racer kept
his cool and maintained his lead until the final
seconds of the last lap when Chris Borich made
his move and Fowler would have to settle for
a second place finish.
“It was all really close out there
and I just tried to do the best I could and
hold everyone off because they were right
on me in the woods. I had a great day and
I’m still happy to be able to run up
front and be on the podium today. I’m
whooped, but it was all worth it,” said
Fowler.

Racing's #3 Taylor Kiser secured his
3rd podium finish of the season, which
moves him within 1 point of McGill in
the points race for 2nd place |
Yamaha/Ballance Racing’s Taylor Kiser
got a great start and was right behind his teammate
in the number two spot. Kiser held his position
until the second lap when he fell back. Kiser
came under fire from Borich ad McGill, which
put him back to fourth in the third lap, but
Kiser inherited the number three spot when McGill
fell back in the fourth lap, and held his position
all the way to the checkered flag.
“I got off to a good start and set
a good pace. On the last lap I ended up sliding
into a tree and that slowed me down a bit,
but overall it was a good day,” said
Kiser.
