GNCC Racing SxS Race Report
::Continued::

Third place went to Team Game On. After a slower start back in eighth position, the #611 made his way up to fifth by lap five. With a battle between third, fourth and fifth positions, Team Game On was able to come out on top and claim his third place finish.

“We played it smart and didn’t get caught up in the mud holes and the ruts. The car handled really well and we just kept the hammer down and didn’t look back,” said Matt from Team Game On.

Rounding out the top five were Team CrashAddict/Can-Am taking fourth place, and Coastal National Guard’s Scott Kiger taking fifth.

Scott Kiger - Polaris RZR XP 1000

Scott Kiger pulled double duty racing both the Mint 400 & General GNCC!

Scott Kiger’s morning began in Las Vegas before sunrise as he left the starting line shortly after 6AM in the Best in the Desert Mint 400, and after racing across the desert for nearly 100 miles for over 2 hours, he handed the Polaris RZR to Mark Holz in second place.  Kiger was then in another race, to travel around 2,000 miles to Georgia in time for the GNCC SxS Race, and amazingly, he made it with only minutes to spare to jump into the Polaris RZR before the beginning of the race.  Amazingly, he rounded out the top five, which was an impressive yet crazy accomplishment.

In the XC2 class race, Team Re/Con pulled off a first place finish. After crossing the finish line in second on lap one, the team gained the first position by lap two and remained there the rest of the race. In second place was Team Powers Motorsports after a fierce battle with the Team Held car. Swapping positions back and fourth from the second lap until the finish, Team Powers Motorsports managed to grab the second place finish. After all of the position swapping, Team Held managed to still finish in third today. In the XC3 class, Team Bigelow Racing took the win in their class.

SxS / UTV GNCC Racing will not resume till round four of the GNCC Racing Series at Big Buck, so SxS racers will have nearly a month to prepare for the next round in South Carolina with ATV racers heading to Steele Creek for Round 3 on March 29th.
