Earning the final spot on the GNCC XC1 Pro Class Podium was Larry Hendershot Jr. and his father Larry Hendershot Sr. The pair piloted their Can-Am Maverick to their first top five finish and their first podium finish of the season at round 3. There well deserved podium finish was a nice welcome as their performance at the Mountaineer Run GNCC boosted up the team up into the top ten in points.

Finishing fourth overall was Coastal Racing / National Guard’s Scott Kiger. The Polaris RZR XP 900 driver has had an exciting start to the 2014 racing season from the get-go. At the GNCC UTV Racing Season Opener, Scott Kiger was the talk of the race as he not only raced in the BITD Mint 400 (on the opposite side of the United Stated) the same morning as the GNCC UTV Race round 2, but Kiger was also able to grab a top five finish.

Since the opening round, Kiger has finished continued to finish top five by finishing third at round 2 and fourth and round 3. With Kiger’s consistent finishes, it has earned him second in the GNCC XC1 Class points just one point from lead.
Matko Racing 408 rounded out the top five in the GNCC XC1 UTV Class at the Mountaineer Run GNCC. The Polaris drivers earned their best finish so far this season running into some bad luck at round 1 and finishing tenth at round 2.
