GBC
Heartland Challenge 10 Endurance ATV Race Report
::Continued::
While the adult classes have their
work cut out for them with a ten hour challenge,
the youth racers that attended this year’s
event were nothing short of amazing as they
raced for a solid three hours over a course,
that was although shorter than that of the ten
hour race, would have some adults thinking twice
about participating.
After three hours of non-stop
racing, it was the 90cc Production class Dirtworks
team who would take not only their class win,
but the overall youth classes win with a total
of 21 laps in a time of 03:06:22. Fellow 90cc
Production class racers, Team N/A claimed second
in their class and second overall with 20 laps
in a time of 03:14:52, while Team Xtreme followed
it up with a time of 03:06:24 and 19 laps, giving
them third in the 90cc Production class and
third overall.
The Buckskinner Boys team took
top honors in the 90cc Stock class while KCB
Racing took the 70cc Production win, and Team
AB Racing held on for the win in the 50cc Production
class.
The GBC Heartland Challenge is
one of the best family friendly events of its
kind and each year draws participants from all
over the country. This year’s event saw
plenty of racing action in all classes that
only seems to get better every time and should
see even more excitement and competition next
year as teams return to defend their championship
titles.
