Meanwhile, in the Open Pro class, Darrell Patton
grabbed the holeshot in the first moto on his Yamaha
Raptor 700 and held off Danny Ragan for two laps
before Ragan slipped by and took the win. When the
gate dropped for the second moto, Patton once again
was the first off the line taking his second holeshot
of the day. Patton was in the lead with second place
TJ Dietrich putting pressure on him. Dietrich and
Patton were neck and neck in the second moto until
they got a little too close and got tangled, causing
them to lose several places. In the end it was Danny
Ragan who was first on the podium, followed by Patton
in second and Dietrich in third.

After this round, the points chase in the Open
Pro class has become quite fierce since there
is now a tie for first between Patton and Dietrich
with 188 points each, and Danny Ragan is trailing
the leaders by only 7 points. “I’m
looking forward to the next couple of races, especially
Glen Helen since it’s a double points round.”
Said Patton. “My Raptor always seems to
do really well at that track so I’m hoping
to take the points win there.” He concluded
confidently. With the points this close it’s
hard to say who could be the victor in this class.
The next round of the ITP Quadcross series is
scheduled for November 11th, at the Racetown 395
