Nashville, IN (6/30/2014) - The MAXC Racing Series hosted it’s third annual Big Nasty MAXC this past weekend in beautiful Nashville, IN. With an all-new track layout the racing was full of excitement as Kevin Cunningham earned his first win of the season followed by Ryan Lane who finished second with Taylor Kiser rounding out the Pro ATV Podium.

Although the weather held out in comparison to last year’s wet and muddy race, early morning rain showers made for a hot and humid race day. This did not slow down the racers, as the Big Nasty MAXC brought in a stacked field of racers to compete at this unique race location.
Kevin Cunningham got off to a great start by grabbing an impressive Holeshot and early lead. Cunningham lead the first three laps, but he fell back to second on the fourth lap when he pitted giving the lead briefly to Ryan Lane. The Honda mounted racer was able to take back over the lead and come through the finish on the sixth and final lap in first place, earning his first win of the season.

“I stopped for fuel and I hoped Lane would stay with me and I didn’t know where Kiser was at the time. He went by and I just tucked him behind him (Ryan Lane) and Kiser was right behind me and we ended up catching Lane and got around him and I just put my head down and kept charging ahead,” stated Kevin Cunningham

Former MAXC Pro ATV Champion Ryan Lane made his second appearance this season after landing on the podium last round in third place. Lane looks as if he hasn’t skipped a beat from his championship winning season as he ran a strong race, even leading about midway through the race to finish second at one of the most challenging races on the circuit, the Big Nasty MAXC.

“Well Kevin (Cunningham) pitted and they pitted just a little past us. I should have pitted as well because I was already tired and I was just hanging on to his tail and we pitted I knew that it was the beginning of the end for me. I ran out there by myself for a lap and then he caught up back to me pretty quick. I pitted the next lap and I never seen the guys again. It was a great track, probably one of the best!” explained Ryan Lane of his third place finish.
