Motorama ATV Arenacross Race & Show

Jason Dunkelberger grabs the Holeshot |
The excitement in the arena rose as the 4-Stroke Expert
quads rolled up to the starting gate. The crowd favorite
was Lost Creek Cycles/Suzuki rider Jason Dunkelberger.
When the gate dropped, Dunk’s pro racing skills
prevailed as he was unchallenged in the first turn following
the Holeshot. After lapping nearly half the field, Dunk
took the checkered flag in front of Steve Dibble. Nearing
the end of the night, the Open Expert Class re-entered
the arena where Dunk would once again walk away with
a comfortable lead over the entire class before the
checkers flew. Steve Dibble once again crosses the finish
line in second aboard his Honda machine.
Day Two – Sunday
Unlike last years event, Sunday’s program was
not plagued by the fire alarm sounding off several times
throughout the show. Instead, the show followed a tight
schedule and even the last racers were home at a decent
time that evening.

Tyler
Lebo sits in the winners circle for his second
time on Sunday |
Steven Emm brought home the 4-stroke B (Group A) win.
Tyler Lebo was the big winner Sunday with his 4-Stoke
B and Open B wins with Thomas Perfetto chasing him down
in each Moto. Lee Dickerson won the Open B (Group A)
while Dann Bressler and Cody Norris rounded out the
podium. Colten McCarthy (50 Limited) and Bren Marra
(71-90) scored follow up wins to their Saturday night
victories. Although Dunk has made a few changes in his
quad set-up, including an all new motor built by Yoshimura
R&D, his comfort level was seen as he pulled every
Holeshot along with leading every lap of the Expert
classes. East Coast ATV’s Tommy Fink earned his
runner up spot in the 4-Stroke Expert class. Fink fell
just short when Steve Dibble was able to make a pass
and move into the second place position in the Open
Expert class.
