England ATV Motocross Pro-Am Class - Round 7 - Twister Valley |
The Pro-Am class was up next on the gate and with the exact same number and the exact same riders, it was going to be another dog fight to the finish line.
Southside Polaris / Mystik Lubricants / Nac’s Cody Paolella was back after it in the Pro-am class although not getting a very good holeshot for moto one. Paolella had to charge his way to the front of the pack and once again capitalized on some of the other racer’s mistakes and was able to secure the lead and the win after six laps of contest.

Cody Paolella won Pro-Am Moto 1

Gravely / Mom & Dad / SSi Decal’s Paolella got off to a less than desirable start for his second Pro-Am moto coming out near the back of the pack. However, Paolella put his head down and charged up through the pack as he has done for three motos prior to this one. He eventually came up and into the second place spot behind Young who had the lead but unfortunately could not catch him with it being only a six lap moto. Paolella’s 1-2 finish was still good enough for another first overall on the day thought and he was very happy about that!

Elka Suspension / RJ Machine / Walsh / Motovan’s Jayden Hickson has visited the Pro-Am podium a few times this season and he dropped by for another showing at Twister Valley. Hickson came off the line in fifth place for moto one and quickly got on the throttle to make some key passes and work his way around the rocky course. Hickson worked his way around Moore, Gessner, and Bluy by the time the checkered flag was out and secured a second place for moto one.

#117 Mike Bluy and #227 Jayden Hickson battle for position in the Pro-Am Class
|
DWT / Crank Worx Canada / Atlantik Apparel / Wiseco / Fastenal’s Hickson was again back in the hunt during moto two coming off the line in third place. Hickson swapped places with Paolella and Bluy as the front pack battled for positions over the remaining six laps, which saw Hickson remaining calm under pressure and staying in third for the entire moto. His 2-3 finish was good enough for a second place overall, one of his best finishes of the year as well.
