New England ATV Motocross Pro-Am Class - Round 8 - MX 207

Pro-Am was next up on the gate at MX207 and with two extra racers it was sure to be another exciting matchup!

Mike Troiano, who is a privateer with support from BCS Performance and his parents, showed he had the speed this weekend in Maine and put his Can-Am DS450 on the top of podium in the Pro-Am class. Troiano came off the line in great position into the first corner and snagged the holeshot ahead of Jayden Hickson and Cody Paolella. Troiano kept on the gas and was able to hold of Paolella for the initial part of the race but succumbed to the pressure and dropped back to second place. Luckily for Troiano, he was fast enough and stayed in second place for the remaining six laps.

Troiano then came out in the second Pro-Am moto and put his privateer / BCS Performance Can-Am back into the lead for the holeshot once again and took the commanding lead heading over the first of several giant jumps. Troiano had a great run the rest of the moto and kept back Paolella back far enough to never be of contest to him for the remaining six laps. Troiano poured on the coal late in the moto and came away with a big win for himself, taking his first overall win of his pro-am career in the NEATV-MX Racing Series.

“I really was have a tough time the beginning of the season with some flat tires and some mechanical issues and I was just getting sick of racing and the issues and needing some time off to recoup myself and regather my thoughts. I came back out here and did some training and I’m super pumped to get this overall win! I’ll for sure be back for more racing and keep this momentum up,” said Troiano.

Southside Polaris / NAC’s / Gravely’s Cody Paolella had virtually the same races that he had in the Pro-Am class as he did in the Pro class, however with much better starts. Paolella came off the line for moto one and was quickly on the heals of Troiano who was up front and was soon to take over the lead. This lead never ended until the checkered flag flew, resulting in a great moto one first place spot for Paolella.
