NEATV-MX - New England ATV Motocross Series

NEATV-MX Racing ATV Motocross Race Report
::Continued::

Troy Lee Designs / 100% / SSi Decals’ Jon Glynn had a better run for himself in the second moto, however, with a second place position coming out the holeshot behind Paolella. Glynn stayed tight to Paolella throughout the beginning of the race and then battled with Hickson for the entire length of the remainder of the moto. Glynn was able to stay ahead of Hickson however and came away with a second place for the moto giving him second place overall on the Podium in the Pro class.

PRP / Fairway Farms / FLY’s Preston Young has been the number one contender for the entire length of the 2014 season in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes and the Pro championship was the one really on the line for him heading into the final round. Young knew this, of course, as he and his big support staff headed to the line in preparation for the final Pro class start of the season. Young came screaming off the line to obtain the holeshot and lead start to finish of the eight-lap race. He never looked back for the remaining laps, even with the pressure of Paolella behind him trying to pressure him into a mistake.

There were a few tense moments during the moto as Paolella and Young battled around the track. Young remained diligent and mistake free through the entire race and came away with the moto win, securing his win for the class championship and allowing a huge weight to be lifted from his shoulders.

FOX / MAXXIS / DASA’s Young had a chance to relax for the second moto knowing he had wrapped the championship up by winning the first Pro moto. This didn’t slow Young down much though as he still came out of the holeshot within the top five and was able to battle his way for the rest of the eight laps and came away with a fourth place finish. This finish set allowed him to gain one more podium finish for himself on the season with a third place overall for the day.

“This year has been huge for me. It’s been so frustrating at times with a lot of mechanical issues and I even rode one of Hickson’s ATV’s at Jolly Roger to obtain as many points as possible. It was an up and down season for me and I’m just super pumped and thankful to come away with the championship. We worked really hard from the beginning to the end of this season and we are all super happy with the outcome of being the 2014 Pro champ,” said Young.
