Primm, NV (4/11/2009) – This past weekend Stateline Nevada hosted the annual Stateline Super Moto Challenge. In years past the event has set the standard in Super Moto racing. Normally the venue being at formally Buffalo Bills (now Terribles) Hotel and Casino the atmosphere of the Casino, bright lights, roller coaster you knew you were at the event.

This year, the SCORE Series took over the venue and the Super Moto Challenge was pushed back to behind the Outlet Mall located at the Stateline exit. To say the least it was a little disappointing, and with the new location and overlapping the event on top of the AMA ATV Motocross and GNCC series as well, also reduced the amount of participants, and turned the atmosphere into more of a local event especially with the absence of Rath Racing’s Daryl Rath & Frank Batista to name a few that would challenge local SuperMoto hero Nic Granlund.

#4 Nic Granlund Wins Again at the Stateline Super Moto
Once again, the the Stateline Super Moto belong to hometown favorite, Nic Granlund as he claimed the Main event win on the all new Yamaha YFZ450R. Taking the 2nd spot was Tim Batista who seemed to be making up for absence of his brother Frank Batista as he claimed his 1st Podium finish. Chris Riley claimed the final spot on the Podium after charging his way from 9th to 3rd as he applied the pressure to Batista till the checkered flag.

Another notable finish was that of David Haagsma who claimed the 4th spot, and seems to have a natural ability for going fast. He has only been out a couple times and seemed to be running with the top names in the event.

DJ Noerr a local Bakersfield TT racer does well for himself at these events. DJ seemed to be a little off pace this round, but believe us when we say he is a great up and comer.
