Stateline ATV SuperMoto Main
Events
The Main event for the Amateurs started in chaos with
a first corner pile causing a complete restart. At the
restart it was Russell McWhorter collecting the Holeshot
followed closely by Cody Mitchell. With 3 laps to go,
it was Mitchell taking away first place from McWhorter.
Meanwhile, Dustin Batista was on the move with a dramatic
charge through the pack from 29th place to a well earned
5th place finish with Mitchell claiming the win followed
by McWhorter, Wren, Cross, and Batista.
On Sunday, it was finally time for the Pro Main and
the building anticipation of whether the defending Champion,
Nic Granlund, would be able to retain the title with
talented field of riders on the line. The front row
consisted of defending champion Nic Granlund, Frank
Batista, Daryl Rath, and Kenny Pacheco, and as the thirty
second board turned the engines roared to life. This
time it would be Granlund edging out Batista for the
Holeshot honors with Rath keeping the pair in check.
Granlund had his hands full with Batista in hot pursuit
for several laps into the race followed closely by Rath.

Nic Granlund Wins the Stateline Pro ATV SuperMoto |
By lap eight, lap traffic became a major factor in
the race and Granlund was able to make all the right
moves to weave his way through the traffic, which allowed
him to slip away from Batista and Rath. Batista would
make a critical mistake and blew passing lane berm,
which allowed Rath to take control of second spot and
Batista dropping back to third.
Once again, Nic Granlund was able to secure the Pro
Win and continue his winning streak followed by Daryl
Rath and Frank Batista rounding out the Podium.
