2014 Mystic Lubricants Terracross Championship Speed & Style September 7, 2014 North Branch, Minnesota

Yamaha Pro ATV Motocross racer, Thomas Brown, didn’t have the best tricks out of the pool of talent he was going up against, but he had such amazing speed, crossing the finish line first in each elimination, that he was able to advance to the final round.

Making his first ATV Freestyle competition debut was Pro ATV Motocross racer Thomas Brown who threw down some huge whips and a few other tricks

“It was definitely something new! I got talked into coming down and checking it out. I had never hit a ramp on a quad before, and I was so nervous. The first ramp I hit was a 70 foot gap, and after that I was ok with it. I had the speed part of it down, but for the freestyle, I only have three tricks, so I wore those three tricks out, but it got me to the finals and in second place. It was really fun doing whips off the ramps,” said Brown.

Although Thomas Brown didn't have many tricks up his sleeve, he made up for it in his speed which took him all the way to the final round

Rockstar’s Colten Moore went for a heel clicker backflip in practice and got a little sideways on the landing and went down. Luckily, Moore was uninjured, but the impact caused some damage to his quad so in the main event he was not able to perform at his typical incredible standard.

“I came in and put up my levers and went for a clicker-flip and came up a bit short and got tossed off. Luckily I got right up and was ok, but I wasn’t going to try and do that again,” Moore said jokingly.

After the competition, the ATV freestyle competitors were joined by several motorcycle and snowmobile freestyle riders and together, proceeded to put on an amazing freestyle show. The fans were going crazy as motorcycles, quads and sleds were all busting out huge tricks.

After the Speed and Style event was over, ATVs, dirt bikes, and even snowmobile freestyle riders put on a show for the huge crowd that attended the 2014 Hay Days event. Be sure to check out all the ATV, dirt bike and snowmobile photo galleries

The freestyle event was certainly a highlight at the Haydays Festival and we can’t wait for the next round of the Mystic Lubricants Terracross that will be held on September 19-20th at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC.
