Cole Cottew & Ray
Bulloch Round Out Terracross Top 5
::Continued::
Hanco’s Cole Cottew started fourth, but fell
back early. He quickly charged back through the
field to nab the top five in his first trip home
since May.

Hanco's Cole
Cottew finished an impressive 4th place
in Round One
|
“I made some mistakes, got tangled up, but I
kept charging,” said Cottew. “I picked some good
lanes and stayed smooth. It’s nice to be here
seeing friends and family. I’ve been busy dirt
biking it down in South Carolina. This is the
first time I’ve been in the RZR since Glamis last
Halloween, so I was a little rusty, but I’m feeling
pretty good and I’m happy about that.”

Ray Bulloch, a veteran of WORCS racing, made
the trip all the way from Utah to start his first
Terracross race. He was pleased to finish fifth,
a foundation on which he plans to build this season.

Super ATV's
Ray Bulloch & Dana Creech had an intense
battle with the pair swapping some paint
early on in the race
|
“This was my first experience with Terracross
and this is definitely a more technical track,”
said Bulloch. “I was running third for three or
four laps, but I blew a front diff. I really battled
with Dana, and he didn’t seem to like that, but
I’m here to race. I’m a racer and I’m going to
do my thing. I’ll keep it clean, but I’m competitive
and I won’t just give it away. Being in the top
five for my first time out is pretty good. These
cars are completely stock, so it took some time
for me to get used to how the car handles. We’re
getting it down and hopefully we can come back
and improve from here.”

#11 Ray Bulloch
rounded out the top five for an impressive
debut in Terracross Racing at Hay Days
|
While Round one of the Mystik Lubricant’s Terracross
Championship was in the history books, the racers
only had a few hours to prepare for the second
round of the double header held on Sunday afternoon
at the 50th Anniversary Sno Baron Hay Days in
North Branch, Minnesota, and it proved to be just
as exciting.
