In the premier ATV Pro Expert class race, Cody Miller jumped out to an early lead aboard his Louis Powersports supported Can-Am, followed by older brother Hunter Miller in second, with Shawn Hess on his Hess Motorsports backed Honda in third.

By lap three, Hunter Miller had moved into the lead with his Can-Am, followed by Hess, with Cody Miller dropping back to third after experiencing a flat front tire. Miller would pit and change out wheels and then rejoin the race. Once rolling again, Cody Miller would lay down some of the fastest laps of the race and would rapidly close up the gap on 2nd place Hess as the race wound down.

Up front, Hess was keeping the pressure on race leader Hunter Miller until the very last lap, when Hunter Miller derailed his chain about two miles from the finish. At the checkered flag at the end of the 90-minute long race, it was Hess taking the win, followed by Cody Miller, 42-seconds behind, and then Hunter Miller in third, only another few seconds back.

In the series championship points chase, Cody Miller leads Hunter Miller by three points, followed by Hess in third, just nine points behind the leader.

Chris Robinson notched another Utility ATV class win aboard his Team UXC supported Polaris Scrambler 1000. After a race long battle with early leader, and veteran Utility rider, Brady Foster, aboard his Miller Brothers supported Can-Am, Robinson made the pass for the lead stick during the final lap and went on to take the race win, just one second ahead Foster. This was Robinson’s fourth Utility ATV class win aboard his new Polaris, extending his Utility class undefeated streak and series points lead by earning his fourth win this season.

The next round of the TORN racing series on May 31-June 1 in St Jo, Texas, and will feature motorcycle, ATV and UTV racing all on the same race weekend.

Aside from the regular day time events, the St Jo, TX event will also feature the second night racing event of the season on Saturday night May 31st. Motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs will compete in three separate 45-minute night races beneath the stars of St Jo, Texas. Lights will be required on each machine in order to compete. Lazer Star Lights is a TORN Series sponsor and they will provide a special TORN race contingency for racers who podium using their lights.
