who had the best start. Adrian Mangieu took second
place. The three drivers maintained their position
throughout the entire session. After the picturesque morning practice at 8 A.M.
The teams prepared themselves for the first race,
a race between Group A and B. The first direct

the enthusiastic crowd ensured an amazing race.
Paul Winrow took the Holeshot, followed closely
by Montalbini, Maessen and Couprie. Winrow lost
the lead in the hectic first round. Winrow would
not much later fall out with a broken rear axle.

first place after a few laps. Behind him Paul
Holmes was working his way through the pact until
he landed on second place. Couprie would dominate
the heat with a 5 seconde lead on Holmes, who
was saving himself for his second race that day.
Stefan Schreiber vigorously attacked his fellow
KTM rider, Paul Holmes, for second place. Unfortunately,
he was unable to claim it and ended up on third
place. Behind the podium there was a hard battle for
fourth place. Jonathan Gil (KTM/Portugal) and
Joe Maessen fought until the checkered place.
Joe Maessen was able to overtake Jonathan Gil
in the last round. Jan Vlaeymans had a bad start
and dropped a few places in the first rounds.
From then on, the Factory W-Tec driver overtook
Justin Reid(Can-Am/ Ireland) and Nicola Montalbini
to end up at a fifth place. |
