Pro
Rookie #422 David Haagsma grabbed his first
Pro ATV Holeshot & he just missed a
Podium finish with his second straight 4th
place finish of the season |
MCR/Maxxis Tire’s David Haagsma found himself
in second place by the end of the first lap when
Dustin Nelson got hung up and dropped back, but
unfortunately, Josh Frederick was coming up fast
from behind. Haagsma held off Frederick for almost
a whole lap before falling back for a fourth place
finish. Haagsma’s consistency this season
has allowed him to round out the top five in points
so far this season.
Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson was out front following
Warnia in the first lap, but when Josh Frederick
got hung up in the WORCSX section of the track,
Things did not go well for Nelson. “I saw
Josh get stuck so I decided to try a different
line and I ended up getting stuck even worse than
he was,” explained Nelson, who lost several
positions during his ordeal. Nelson got back on
track, but soon found himself stuck again early
in the race, making it hard for him to gain any
ground. Nelson charged hard and in the final two
laps, he was able to make his way into fifth place
before reaching the checkered flag.

Yamaha's
#94 Dustin Nelson rounded out the Top 5
after recovering from getting stuck in the
WORCS X Section |
DWT's
#49 Dillon Zimmerman is on his way to recovery
as he secures a 6th place finish at Clay
Peaks |
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Dillon Zimmerman was
looking like he was feeling much better than in
previous rounds after being injured early in the
season. Zimmerman was in the top five early in
the race, after making the pass on Josh Row, and
held his position until two laps before the finish
when Dustin Nelson came charging through. Zimmerman
fell back to sixth but held his position for the
rest of the race to claim sixth place.
“I’m feeling a lot better and I
had a pretty good race. Nelson got by me in the
last lap, but I am happy with how I finished,”
said Zimmerman.
Yamaha’s Josh Row was just outside of the
top five off the start and was holding a solid
sixth place in the first lap after a brief battle
with Dillon Zimmerman. Row was looking solid despite
all the dust, but he did fall back when his teammate
Nelson challenged him late in the race. Row fell
back for a seventh place finish, but maintains
sixth place in the points chase.

Yamaha's
#3 Josh Row finished out the day in the
7th spot & Row is currently 6th in the
Pro Points race |
Jarrod McClure finished an impressive
8th place despite recovering from a crash
at the GNCC just a week earlier |
Yokely Racing’s Jarrod McClure was just
outside of the top ten on the start and moved
into the number ten spot before the end of the
first lap. McClure paced himself and moved into
the number eight spot by lap three, where he would
stay all the way to the checkered flag.
