DWT's #2 Josh Frederick charged his way
to a 2nd place finish |
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Josh Frederick had been
feeling a bit under the weather, but he still put
in an amazing run. “I got a good start in
third and I moved up to second when Dustin Nelson
dropped back,” said Frederick.
From there, Frederick chased down David Haagsma
and took over the lead when Haagsma and Baron
pulled into the pits. “I was leading but
Beau Baron ended up catching me and we battled
a little bit, but I haven’t been feeling
too well and I just had nothing left and he got
around me. I still gave it everything I had and
I made it to the podium, so it was a good day,”
said Frederick, who took second at the checkered
flag.

Maxxis'
#422 David Haagsma grabbed the Pro ATV Holeshot
followed closely by his teammate, Sparks
Racing's #549 Beau Baron

Spark Racing's #422 David Haagma held the
lead for 6 laps of the race & secured
the final spot on the Podium |
Maxxis/H&M Motorsports’ David Haagsma
was on fire off the start. Haagsma grabbed the ATVRiders.com
holeshot award and led for six laps. “The
Curtis Sparks engine has so much power; it’s
been giving us great starts,” said Haagsma.
Haagsma was looking strong in the lead, but when
he stopped to pit, that let Josh Frederick take
the lead. Haagsma was looking strong in second,
but Beau Baron closed in and began to pressure
Haagsma. After a while, Haagsma made a slight
mistake and Baron was able to slip by, putting
him back in third. “It was a good race for
us. I was on the podium again and that’s
right where I want to be,” said Haagsma.

Can-Am's #49 Dillon Zimmerman had another
great showing, but just missed the podium
with a 4th place finish |
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Dillon Zimmerman got off
to a good start in the number four spot. Zimmerman
held his position for a couple of laps, but fell
back to fifth after Beau Baron got around him in
the third lap. Zimmerman stayed in the number five
spot or several laps, but inherited the number four
position when Dustin Nelson encountered issues.
Zimmerman held his spot all the way to the checkered
flag for a fourth place finish. “Everything
was working well for me this weekend. SpeedWorld
isn’t really my favorite track because this
is where I had a bad crash a couple years ago, so
I’m just glad it’s over and now I’m
looking forward to the next round,” said Zimmerman.

Yamaha's #417 Josh Row tied his season best
5th place finish at Speed World |
Yamaha/Goldenwest Cycle’s Josh Row ran a consistent
race. Row was inside the top ten off the start and
charged up from eighth to sixth place by the second
lap. Row held down the number six spot before moving
into fifth late in the race, where he stayed until
reaching the checkered flag, allowing him to round
out the top five in the pro class.
EXIT's Robbie Mitchell had a consistent race
as he stayed in the number seven spot for most
of the race. Arm pump became a factor for Mitchell
late in the race, but he was still able to muster
a sixth place finish.
