Ryan Waldo took home his third Pro-am podium finish of the season in second place after a rough start. Waldo broke a heim joint during the parade lap and missed the start of the Pro-am race. Waldo charged hard and worked into second by the second lap and took the lead briefly in lap four. His lead would not last however and Waldo would settle in for a second place finish.

Ryan Waldo finished an impressive second in the Pro-Am Class after missing the start due to breaking a heim joint during the parade lap

“In the parade lap, I broke a heim joint and missed the start, but I was able to work up and had a great battle with Mike Sloan, but he got away. I’m still happy with second considering how things started,” said Ryan Waldo.

Pro Motorsports’ Matt Hancock was looking good off the start and moved into the lead in lap two after recording the fastest lap time of the Pro-am race with a time of 11:46.423. In the next lap, Hancock got stuck in the WORCS X section and fell back to third where he would stay until reaching the checkered flag.

“I got stuck in the split line twice and fell back, but I had a good race. Pro Motorsports, Maxxis Tires, Elka, Doug Roll, they have all helped me out so much and helped me to have a great race this weekend,” said Hancock, who is just three points off the lead in championship points.

Former WORCS Pro racer, Brandon Brown brought the #75 back to the WORCS series for this round and showed he can still run with the young guns. Brown moved into fifth early in the race and at the midway point took over fourth and kept his spot all the way to the finish line.
