Cognito Racing’s Ryan Piplic has been a strong contender all season and was able to take his SxS to the podium for the fourth time this season with a second place finish.

“I was behind Mitch Guthrie and got tired of eating rocks and made the pass on him in the grand stand area in the third lap. From there I started catching up to Beau Baron. We were really battling and we gave everyone a good show,” said Piplic, who is currently third in points.

Walker Evans Racing’s Mitch Guthrie Jr was second off the start and was quickly under fire from Ryan Piplic. Guthrie was holding strong, but fell back in lap three.

“I had a good start and Ryan was right there and trying to get around me. We battled for a couple laps before he got by. It was different racing in the woods but it was a lot of fun and I am happy with a third place finish,” said Guthrie.

HOLZ Racing’s Mark Holz, who was racing RJ Anderson’s UTV had a strong run. This was the first time Holz raced the WORCS series in a couple of years, but showed he still has what it takes. Holz started on the fourth row and charged his way to a fourth place finish with adjusted time.

ITP’s Nick Thompson claimed his second best finish of the season after he charged his way up several spots to round out the top five overall in the Pro SxS class, and he was the only SxS racer launching the big double on the motocross track, which had the crowd cheering every lap.
