WORCS Racing - Honolulu Hills - SxS Race Report
::Continued::

In the SxS 1000 class, Mike Gardner came out on top to take the first win of the season. “I had a good start and thought I was going to be mid-pack with RJ Anderson and Ryan Piplic out there, but I lucked out. It was pretty awesome. We struggled a little last year, so to come out and win, was really great. I have to thank GMH Motorsports, DASA Racing, Walker Evans Racing and all of my sponsors,” said Gardner.

Matt Hancock made his debut in his new Can-Am Maverick in the SxS 1000 class. Hancock, who took second in SxS 1000 series points last season, claimed a second place finish. “I got pushed to the back of the pack because of a pile up, but I knew I had to finish and I knew if I did, I would have a good shot at the podium. I couldn’t be happier to start the season off on the podium, especially with the Can-Am. I really means a lot to me to have the opportunity to drive for a factory team,” said Hancock.

David Martinez also came on strong and rounded out the podium for the SxS 1000 class for his first WORCS podium finish. “It’s always a lot of work at the beginning of the season, but I had a great race on the Can-Am and didn’t think I would even be close to where I ended up,” said Martinez.

Ryan Piplic and RJ Anderson were also out on the track in the SxS 1000 class with Piplic having issues and pulling off, while Anderson was just getting in some practice.

“I used the Production 1000 to kind of get some seat time and some laps in before going out into my Pro race, so I just went out there for fun. I think those of us racing Pro should stay in the Pro class. I went out to use it for laps, but I pulled off last lap so that the guys that are newer to the class and stuff like that they can get their good finishes, you know, it’s hard jumping into a field and doing good when you’re racing a bunch of pros, so I pulled off on the last lap so I wouldn’t be using it for points or a championship,” said Anderson.

WORCS Polaris ACE Racing
WORCS Racing now offers a class just for the Polaris ACE. Jacob Shaw and #520 Ronnie Anderson battled it out for the number one spot, however it was Jacob Shaw that was able to take the win. The WORCS Racing Series results will be updated next round to show the Polaris ACE Class

The second round of the 2015 WORCS series will head to Buffalo Bills in Primm, NV on February 6-8th, where the battles will be fierce as David Haagsma will have an advantage to take over the points lead in the Pro SxS class with the absence of RJ Anderson.
