WORCS Racing - Buffalo Bills - SxS Race Report
::Continued::

In the SxS Pro Stock class, Codey Rowley charged his way to the win. Rowley claimed second at round one and showed it was no fluke. Rowley was the only racer in the Pro Stock class to take on a huge double on the infield, but that gave him the edge he needed. “I said I would hit it and I did. I just have support from my family and friends so it means a lot to come out here and win,” said Rowley.

GMZ’s Jacob Shaw started in the second row in the Pro Stock class and had his work cut out for him, but Shaw made several passes and claimed the second spot on the podium. “I didn’t get a very good start, but I went out there and just ran with it. I have to thank GMZ, Magnum and Muzzy for helping me get here and finish on the podium,” said Shaw.

HOLZ Racing’s Tyson Leaver had a good run and claimed the final spot on the podium. “It felt really good to come out here and finish on the podium, especially after finishing in eighth at Taft. I have to thank Holz Racing, Walker Evans and GBC tires for their help and finishing on the podium,” said Leaver.

In the SxS Unlimited class, Jeff Obering and Mitch Guthrie Jr battled it out for the top spot. The pair was in second and third off the start and battling fiercely behind leader, Ryan Piplic. In the final lap, Piplic fell back and Obering inherited the lead with Guthrie Jr close behind. Obering held the lead and took the SxS Unlimited class win. “This was two in a row for me. There were a lot of fast guys out there today, but I just tried to be consistent and that made the difference for me,” said Obering.

Walker Evans Racing’s Mitch Guthrie Jr put in a hard charge from a second row start but a brake issue early in the race caused him to fall back briefly. Once Guthrie Jr was back on track, he powered his way through traffic and claimed a respectable second place finish. “I started on the second row and I caught most people in front of me but I lost my brakes and had to pit really quick but I was able to get back out there and work back up, so I am happy to be on the podium,” said Guthrie Jr.
