at Glen Helen WORCS
WORCS Racing Round 10 Pro
ATV Race Report
While the championship is decided in the Pro
class, in Pro-am the title chase is just starting
to heat up. Bryce Peart won the race on a Honda
and moved to within just three points of leader
Logan Huff, who finished second on a Yamaha. Ricardo
Gonzalez finished third.

Gonzalez, on a Yamaha, took the lead at the start.
On lap four, both Peart and Huff moved up to challenge,
and Peart stuck a slick inside move to take the
lead for good.

Bryce Peart claimed the Pro-Am WORCS Win,
which moved him to within 3 points of Logan
Huff in the points championship |
“I snuck around him on the inside,” said Peart.
“It was a battle of who was going to lift first
and it became like a near-death experience. I
went on a crazy diet during the summer break and
lost 15 pounds. I’ve been training and riding
as much as I could, and that’s what it takes to
ride with Logan. It’s going to be a battle until
the end. I have to win and it’s going to be crazy.”
Huff cased a table top jump in practice and cart
wheeled his quad. He wasn’t seriously injured
and his team quickly facilitated repairs to get
him out for the Pro-am race. He nursed a damaged
chain on the final lap to finish second.

Logan Huff finished in the 2nd spot on the
Podium |
“We did what we could,” said Huff. “I tried to
make the move into first and he got me in one
of the corners and passed Ricardo for the lead.
I made it past Ricardo, but I made another mistake
and damaged my drive chain. So I limped it in
for second on the last lap. This is a very tight
points battle. I’m going to have to beat Bryce
going into the last round. It’s close and it’s
good racing.”
Gonzalez started the race well and held the lead
for the first four laps. After losing the lead,
he held on for third, scoring his fifth podium
of the season.

Ricardo Gonzalez claimed the final spot
on the WORCS Pro-Am Podium |
“I got a good start and led the first four laps,”
said Gonzalez. “They caught me and we battled
for a few laps. I tried my best, and I finished
on the podium. I just got a little fatigued at
the end.”
