#44 Chad Wienen
Goes 1-1 to sweep Round 6 for Overall
Win

Fort McDowell, AZ - Round five
proved to be a day of break downs with everyone
Pro except Josh Upperman experiencing mechanical
issues, which allowed Upperman to claim the easy
Overall win over points leader, Chad Wienen, but
Sunday, everything started over again for round
six, and good fortune was on Wienen’s side
as he would go on to win both Motos and the overall
win while Upperman dealt with mechanical issues
in Moto two, which left him with a season first
DNF and off the podium with Yamaha / Mushin Racing’s
Thomas Brown claiming the second spot on the podium
followed by Kody Evans.

Baldwin's
Josh Upperman held the early lead in Moto
One |
In the Moto one, the Baldwin powered Honda of Josh
Upperman once again grabbed the Holeshot followed
by Chad Wienen, Kody Evans, Thomas Brown, and Jeffrey
Rastrelli, but by the 2nd lap, Rastrelli was out
with mechanical issues.At the end of lap three,
Wienen would make his move on Upperman to claim
the lead with Brown and Evans in chase.
By the halfway point, Wienen and Upperman remained
tight, and Evans was left sidelined with a broke
rear shock reservoir. Meanwhile, Brown was beginning
to apply the pressure to Upperman for the second
spot, but Upperman was able to hold off Brown
to the checkered flag to secure second behind
Wienen with Brown rounding out the top three.
