Borich and Dustin Nelson (No. 94 Motorworldracing.com/Yamaha)
won the $500 ATVSource.com Fastest Mover Awards for
moving up the most positions from qualifying in their
respective pro finals.
With stormy weather forecasted throughout the week
leading up to Saturday and Sunday's Southwestern National,
many in the ATV community figured the race would be
a wash out. However, due to hard work by track owner
Dale Schultz and his crew, and the WPSA PowerSports
ATV Tour operations team, the event, the first for
the Tour west of the Mississippi, was a complete success.
"Lightning, thunder, rain, wind and even hail
decended upon the track during the week, but dedication,
hard work and determination by Dale and Darby Schultz
and their staff, as well as our own crew really made
this event a reality," said Kent Lungstrom, executive
vice president of operations for PowerSports Entertainment,
Inc. "Dale really deserves our gratitude for
running a truly world-class facility."
The next race for the PowerSports ATV Tour, The Blue
Ridge Open Championship, is scheduled for June 16-17
at Daniel Boone MX in London, Ky.
