                                 Yamaha’s OHV Access Initiative promotes
                                  responsible off-road vehicle operation. Here
                                  are its tips:
                                  • Learn and follow your local riding area’s
(national forest, state forest, private park)
rules and regulations for riding gear, age restrictions
and safety course recommendations and requirements.

                                  • Only use current trail maps and local
travel reports to avoid improper travel
                                  • Inspect and clean your machine before
riding at a new location. This prevents the
spread of invasive species and makes you look
                                  more responsible.
                                  • Follow your vehicle manufacturer’s
                                  recommended maintenance schedule and inspect
your machine for leaks or problems that could
impact the environment or the vehicle’s
                                  performance.
                                  • Set a positive example, especially in
front of non-riders, youth and inexperienced
                                  riders.
                                  • Leave the riding area in better shape
                                  than when you found it.
                                  • Be aware of animal habitat. Stay on
the trail and off sensitive areas (streams,
                                  food sources and nesting areas).
                                  • Never chase animals with your machine
                                  or hunt from it.
                                • Watch out for other trail users and be
                                aware of private property.
