Colten Moore X Games Speed and Style Interview

Colten Moore X Games Speed and Style Interview
::Continued::

ATVriders.com: Can you take me through your Speed & Style winning run?
Colten Moore: The KOD flips always make me nervous for some reason and it takes me a little while to get after them, but once I do them I am on point. So taking off I thought I would throw the banger and so I go off and did a KOD Indy. I was doing a KOD during practice but I thought I would add an Indy to it. I tried to make it around the turns without messing up to much. I then changed it up to a Rocksolid for my first run.

Colten Moore & Joe Parsons
Colten Moore throws out a KOD Indy beside 2x Winter X Games Speed and Style Gold Medalist Joe Parson. Although Parsons scored better in speed, Moore made up for it in style, earning the gold metal with a score of 90.62 vs Joe Parson's score of 83.0

I was then like “Man I think I gotta go back to a seat grab flip”. BC (Vaught – Colten Moore’s manager) and my dad were like “Do it, just do it”. So my second jump I did a seat grab flip and it worked out pretty good, then on I decided to throw a combo on the last jump doing a heel clicker to a superman backflip then I basically tried to hold it together and try and go as fast as I could.

ATVriders.com: Colten, you were pointing to the sky to your brother throughout your practice. How big is that for you?
Colten Moore: Always, he is the one who has pushed me to do everything I have done and he is the reason why who I am and do what I do and I know he is out here looking out for me. I feel calm because I know he is out here looking out for me I feel like I can ride better and I just talk to him and ask him and I know he is out here with me.

ATVriders.com: How is it having your family and friends from Texas out here?
Colten Moore: Every year it is just a blast! I always have so much family support and waving Texas flags. There are hugs like no other as soon as I get off and it is great! I think everyone should have this much family out and I feel spoiled having this great and as big of as family to watch me.
